Squirt gun wars. Water balloon fights. Women in mostly-lollipop bikinis pushing candy by the pool. While your uncle’s Labor Day weenie roast does possess certain fundamentals, it can’t match the Hard Rock’s bash—at least not until your uncle books Paul Oakenfold, Chris Brown or someone better. There’s still time.
Your reward for labor: four reputable DJs and an extra hour of leisure time to live like a Roman emperor, had they known of such modern pleasures. Your entertainment: Tiësto, Steve Angello, David Guetta, Deadmau5. Plus extended club hours to 5am. (Don’t feel obliged to use them all.)
Given the length of the weekend ahead, you’ll need someplace to take in a constant flow of cocktails, day or night (preferably, for the day part, near a swimming pool). This magic wristband grants access to Marquee’s Nightclub & Dayclub for the duration. Hence: marathon.
Like most of America, you’ll be leaving work early this Friday... but unlike most Americans, you’ll commence pool canoodling at noon, and look to parlay that momentum into the evenings with acts like Wiz Khalifa. Luckily, at the Palms’ multi-club gauntlet, that shouldn’t be too hard.
