You always wondered what happened to Evelyn Lee.

Okay, no. No, you haven’t. You don’t even know who that is.

But here’s what happened to her...

Say hello to The Unresolved Love Life of Evelyn Lee, a dimly lit saloon saddled with an impossibly long name that a few stiff drinks will help you forget, now open in Potrero Hill.

Whatever you want to call this joint is up to you, but save yourself the trouble of explaining to your friends that no, it’s not a long-lost Charles Dickens novel. And no, you don’t know Evelyn Lee. It’s a bar, plain and simple.

Now, you might remember when this corner spot was Sadie’s Flying Elephant back in the day, or more recently, Mission Hill Saloon, so you’re familiar with its dive-y vibe, pool table and general setup. Which means you can continue to frequent this joint for dollar-off drinks until 8pm and Addams Family pinball until 2am.

But since the guys from Dear Mom and Thieves Tavern took over, you’ll notice subtle but important additions. The biggest change being the long communal table (parallel to the main bar) where you’ll settle in after a long day with a pint of La Chouffe Bière du Soleil or maybe a Radeberger, and catch March Madness on one of the three flat-screens.

Getting back to the name: Evelyn’s actually a friend of theirs, so she’ll presumably be around.

And she’ll probably need a drink...
