It’s beginning to look a lot like the weekend.

The Hurricane Club, your favorite Polynesian destination besides actual Polynesia, has started wheeling around a dim sum cart during lunch. On it: things like dumplings, honey-glazed ribs and Peking duck tea sandwiches. Which is sort of a misnomer, since they’re actually meant to be eaten with rum-filled coconuts, not tea.
The lunch service at Kutsher’s is still weeks away. But not for you. Stop by the bar anytime after 9:30pm and ask for the “sneak preview.” Also known as a house-cured pastrami sandwich on Orwasher’s rye with pickles, mustard and Russian dressing. Lunch: it’s what’s for late-night dinner.
Pop Up Flea 4: Let Flea-Dom Ring is finally upon us. This year, the annual all-star gathering of new and vintage men’s goods features special guest appearances by bootmakers Red Wing, shirtmakers Gitman Bros. and all-around designer Todd Snyder. Also, about 30 other brands. And gratis whiskey. In case you’re into that sort of thing.
Sometimes you just want the strongest drink possible. Other times, you’ll happily settle for one that tastes like a Twix. This cocoa/wine bar would be for those other times. Each cocktail on the chocolate martini menu (yes, there’s an entire menu) comes with a complimentary Jacques Torres truffle. The olive’s sitting this one out.
Fall Sundays. A time for watching football... and not a whole lot else. The lone exception: a proper evening meal like the three-course/red-sauced prix fixe taking place at Tiny’s. They’ve got the prerequisite Sunday night spaghetti and meatballs. Only their version also comes with braised Mangalitsa pork neck. A tweak you can fully get behind.
