Hint: it starts with an F and ends with “rench Laundry.”
But you’ve been there. And you’ve done that. And you need a new option.
One without walls should do...
Introducing Dine Among the Vines, a private, alfresco, four-course wine dinner for two set in the cabernet vineyards of Cliff Lede, taking reservations now.
Since you keep raising the stakes when it comes to wine country visits (and since there are no houses to rent in Tuscany), dining in the vineyards would be the next natural step.
It all starts with a simple phone call: you set the date, go over the menu and describe your vision (Blade Runner meets A Midsummer Night’s Dream).
Once the night arrives, they’ll lead you and your date through the gardens, into the vineyards and to your table. It’s actually set in a private cabana that can be as wide-open or sheltered as the night demands. From there, you’ll run through courses like butter-poached lobster tail and pan-seared lamb loin, paired with sommelier-selected wines—which could even include a vertical of library wines if you want.
At that point, the winery is pretty much yours, so you could retire inside by the fireplace or linger over more wine in your cabana.
Consider it a warm-up for Tuscany.
