They say children are our future.

We beg to differ.

Right now, rum punch is your future. Pink grapefruit vodka lemonades are your future. Frozen daiquiris are your future.

But, nope: no kids.

And good news: the future begins as soon as you can get yourself to The Lounge at the Plaza, a new adults-only alfresco sanctuary at Millennium Park, helping you happy hour your way into the weekend.

Chances are you know this place. It’s really the front plaza of Park Grill. Yes, the place with that big metallic bean directly above it. The place with all the flip-flopped tourists. And their flip-flopped children. Yes, that place. No, really.

Just gaze directly to the south of the patio. Look for a big white tent. It’s big. It’s white. Its gauzy flaps flow in the breeze. You can’t miss it. Now peer inside. See that low-slung lounge furniture? Those people sipping hurricanes and eating fish tacos? And yes, we think you’re right—those are honeydew mojitos. You’ll notice one thing missing: children.

So you’re now thinking, what a perfect place to bring an out-of-town client for a deal-cinching cocktail. True, but not tonight. It’s Friday. It’s time to think about yourself. You deserve it. And so does that little raver you met at Lolla.

Your kids won’t believe how you met.
