It’s a tale as old as time.
You’re at an outdoor party. The beer is flowing, the bands are wailing, and the food trucks are... food trucking.
Good times. But would it kill a festival to throw in a navy blazer or two...
Apparently not.
Welcome to the Southern Swap Meet, the city’s proud foray into the holy trinity of outdoor soiree-ing: cold beer, food trucks and... clothes, happening Saturday on the Westside.
To be clear, this is basically a big pop-up shop/food and music festival. But as you bob and weave through the random lineup of musical and visual performance acts and dispense your hard-earned Lincolns upon the usual four-wheeled suspects (King of Pops, Good Food Truck)... you’ll also want to keep an eye out for the real reason you came.
Which happens to be a sartorial wonderland manifesting itself in the form of button-downs and blazers from Billy Reid, cap toe boots from Wolverine 1000 Mile, yacht-ready foot candy from Sebago and a glorious bounty of all things Southern gentleman from Oakleaf & Acorn.
And to prepare yourself for this most noble of undertakings, you’ll want to hit Friday night’s pre-party for more Billy Reid and the global launch of Warhorse Workshop, specializing in all things handmade and leathery. There’s also going to be a bunch of beer there.
Handmade leather can only pull so much weight.
