Welcome Hotel Yountville, a tony new resort appointed with the things you require: indoor/outdoor suites, a cypress-lined pool and detoxifying spa, open now in Napa.
Now, it’d be easy to confuse this spot for Yountville Inn, but they’re distinct properties. In fact, Hotel Yountville took over the inn, then proceeded to gut it, add new suites and build a pool, spa and bar. Basically, you’ll just recognize the address.
While the resort is set up on an olive and heirloom oak tree–covered knoll along Hopper Creek, you’re actually only steps from the main drag in Yountville. All of this means you could stay self-contained and hole up in your suite with brief excursions to the spa and cocktail lounge, or venture out if you must.
If you choose the self-contained route, you’ll want to splurge for the One Bedroom Suite, and keep your options open with two different stone fireplaces, a huge balcony, two HDTVs and a roomy (but not too roomy) two-person spa tub.
Of course, there’s always the big outdoor hot tub by the pool overlooking the hills of Napa, if you’re looking to stretch your legs. And to make things more convenient, it’s next to the poolside bar in case you get thirsty.
So really, more of a tubside bar.
