You want... whiskey. Maybe a burger.
Finally, there’s a place for you both—introducing Mäni’s on Maple, the new incarnation of the famed Fairfax restaurant and bakery, soft-opening Friday in Beverly Hills.
Yes, after 20 years of slinging healthy-ish pastries, sandwiches and Jason Bateman sightings on Fairfax, Mäni’s has a new 90210 address, and you’ll find it’s gotten bigger, sleeker and liquor license-ier.
Think of it as the culinary equivalent of a collagen injection: you’ll see plenty of features you recognize, from Quinoa Oatmeal in the morning to Turkey Chili at lunch, but you’ll also see... more in certain areas. Like a much bigger dining room. A huge courtyard patio out back. And new options like actual bacon (not just turkey and veggie), a Breakfast Club Sandwich and a full dinner menu, including Polenta Lasagna.
And that bar is front and center when you walk in. Nothing against the smoothies at the old place, but after a long day of spreadsheets, gridlock and conference calls with Bruckheimer, you’re generally more in the mood for a whiskey- and cucumber-soaked Southpaw.
Feel free to drink it with either hand.
