The traditional 50th anniversary gift is gold, but Big Green Egg decided on something else to celebrate its 50th.

We'll give you a hint: it's big, green, and egg-shaped.

No, it's not another grill. It's a chiminea.

More specifically, it's a limited run of the fan-favorite chiminea fireplace that was introduced in 1999 and hasn't been seen in years.

The Big Green Egg Chiminea nods to the original but features a reimagined design. It's crafted from the same NASA-grade ceramics as the grills and can withstand any weather, so you can confidently throw one in your backyard without worry. The opening is fronted by a high-temp powder-coated steel grate with an acacia wood handle, and it all sits above the ground on sturdy steel legs.

The fireplace's distinctive shape channels smoke upward, so you can enjoy the warmth without ingesting a face full of smoke. It also comes with lava rocks, which help to absorb, retain and disperse heat.

If you want to score one for yourself, you can enter the Win One, Gift One Sweepstakes. It runs now through April 29, and the winner will receive one chiminea for themselves and one to gift to someone else. Or just control your own destiny and purchase one. They'll be released throughout the spring, summer and fall through the brand's dealer partners.

We'd probably have released a toasty fire contraption like this leading up to winter, but hey, no one asked us. And considering Big Green Egg has been going strong for 50 years, they probably never will.
