At its best, train travel is luxurious and glamorous, a throwback to the golden era of travel.

And its worst, it's hot, slow and horrible.

This is the first one.

Because this is the new Solaire Journeys, a collaboration between Champagne house Veuve Clicquot and luxe train operator Belmond, in which travelers will embark on epic itineraries around the world. All while participating in that time-honored tradition: poppin' bottles.

Solaire Journeys launches with three itineraries across three continents: Asia, Europe and South America. Each trip includes transport on a luxurious Belmond train, complete with food, drinks and excursions.

Singapore to Penang, Malaysia
April 22 - April 25

Start with a Champagne brunch, then board the Eastern & Oriental Express and settle into your luxury cabin. Over the course of three days, guests will enjoy drinks with a Veuve Clicquot cellar master, listen to live music and dine on local delicacies. Time off the train includes a tour of the dense jungles of Taman Negara National Park and a jaunt around Georgetown's historic old quarter before heading back to Singapore.

Vienna, Austria to Reims, France
July 4 - July 6

Your time in Vienna begins with a gala dinner and a chance to explore the city. Hop aboard the Art Deco-designed Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, where you'll partake in black-tie dinners and cuvée pairings. This train's bound for Reims, the heart of the Champagne region and home to Veuve Clicquot. Naturally, you will explore the grounds and cellars — including the UNESCO-listed chalk quarries — and taste wines straight from the source.

Machu Picchu to Arequipa, Peru
October 21 - October 26

This five-day itinerary includes transport on Belmond trains and overnight stays at Belmond hotels. You'll feast in a 16th-century Cusco chapel by candlelight, hike the Temple of the Sun at Machu Picchu and be rewarded with a garden Champagne experience, and visit Lake Titicaca and the floating Uros Islands.
