An Intelligent Form of Cocktail Coaster

That Helps You Make the Perfect Drink

Computers.

They’re either out to wipe us off the face of the planet...

Or they just want to get us drunk.

Or probably both.

But regardless of its ultimate objective, we have a highly technical coaster here that wants to help you make the perfect cocktail.

It’s the Barsys Coaster, a piece of computerized barware that guides you to a textbook drink, now available for pre-order before its December release.

It’s an illuminated coaster resembling one of those wireless phone-charging doohickeys. And it comes with an app that is jam-packed with cocktail recipes.

You simply type whatever ingredients you have lying around into the app and it will respond with all the drink recipes you can make from them. Then you’re off to the races. Proverbially.

The app will tell you how much of everything to put into your glass. Meanwhile, the coaster will measure the weight of everything you’re adding, lighting up in different colors to tell you when to start and stop pouring each ingredient. Though it won’t shock you or anything if you want a heavier hand on the liquor.

And that’s basically it. Next thing you know you’ll have a cocktail made with all the skill and precision of the person who wrote the recipe from a state-of-the-art, computerized coaster unlike any other in existence.

Alternately, you can just use a jigger.
