A Bourbon-Based Colada With a Fernet Float

Inspired By One Extremely Famous Movie Cowboy

Today we're inciting you to drink the Roughneck Colada, a stimulating remix of the piña colada using coconut cream, Kentucky bourbon from John Wayne-inspired Duke Spirits and Dominican rum, with an assortment of fruit juices and a float of Fernet. Those are a lot of summer's greatest hits in just one Collins glass.

So mix up a few, sit back, drink them with a friend and talk about all the stuff you thought about buying but then decided you didn't really need on Amazon Prime yesterday.

Or whatever else comes up.

Roughneck Colada

1 oz Duke Bourbon

½ oz Atlantico Reserva

½ oz Fresh Lime Juice

½ oz Coconut Cream

½ oz Orange Juice

1 oz Pineapple Juice

8-10 Leaves of Fresh Mint

½ oz Float of Fernet Branca

Roll mint and drop into an empty collins glass. Top with crushed ice. Shake 1-6 with ice and strain over the crushed ice. Top with Fernet Branca. Garnish w/ fresh pineapple, Amarena cherry, mint sprig.
