This Secret Whiskey Room Isn't Secret Anymore

Lincoln Park's newest restaurant, Drawl, has a secret. Past the palm frond wallpaper and seersucker booths, where people are enjoying plates of Johnny cakes and fried chicken, there's a whiskey room. And in that whiskey room, Tasso-spiked jerky and presumably deep conversations are happening. And whiskey. Whiskey's also happening.

Now open, Drawl, 2423 N Clark St, 773-687-8111

West Town Bakery + Bourbon Milkshakes = This

You look like you could use a bourbon red velvet milkshake. Go ahead, have one at West Town Bakery & Tap, where cake pops meet cold brew coffee and even colder beer. It's the boozy new offshoot of the popular West Town Bakery and is also connected to the lobby of Hotel Zachary. You know Zachary.

TWO'S COMPANY

Big Star Wrigleyville Is Here. Jeni's Wrigleyville Is Here. Everybody's Here.

The Wrigleyville transformation continues with two more familiar faces. The first is Big Star's second stand-alone location, a 9,000-square-foot whiskey-and-al-pastor slinging new restaurant. For dessert, it's popcorn and peanut ice cream at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams' fifth Chicago shop. Thank you, Wrigleyville. Thank you.
