Liquor Cabinet Variations: Swipe Left for Your Next Creative Cocktail

Simple Alternatives To Classic Drinks

You've been searching and searching, but just can't find the drink that is right for you.

You love the safety and security that a classic cocktail provides, but to be frank, sometimes you find them a little boring and catch yourself eyeing unknown solutions with just a streak of madness glinting behind their ice and wondering "what if...?"

You just might find success using 'Variations,' a clever new feature recently added to the Liquor Cabinet app. Whereas Liquor Cabinet has long featured simple, successful recipes behind classic cocktails, now users will find quick and easy modifications that will change the drink's profile entirely.

Each classic recipe now has small red dots above their drink breakdowns. This indicates the availability of a, you got it, "variation." Swiping left shows you another classic way to make your drink.

For example, you may be looking at a recipe for a daiquiri. You see the dots and swipe left. Suddenly, you're looking at the recipe for a 305 daiquiri involving 23-year-old rum, strawberries and Aperol. Or you may be interested in martinis, and use this to guide you into the world of vespers.

One of our biggest frustrations with home-bartending are recipes that force the drink-maker to go heavy on various bottles and elixirs you'll only need once, infringing on space and bank accounts. So far we like how Variations keeps recipes simple, typically necessitating just one useful purchase or two to create a different drink altogether to keep life interesting.
