Sometimes, in an attempt to sneak a peek into the interior lives of the rich and famous, we’re forced to launch an investigation into the evidence at the public’s disposal. By which we mean, grossly overanalyze whom these people choose to follow on Instagram.
Today, we take a look into the deep follows of one Frankie Shaw, actress, social activist, former basketball player (with a tattoo to prove it) and creator and star of the excellent new Showtime original, SMILF. Let's see what Freud, Jung and Rogers have to say about the lass. Just kidding, let's dive headlong down the rabbit hole and bullshit this thing...
The Profile of Frankie Shaw
Shaw’s been on our radar since her excellent, albeit too short, tenure on Mr. Robot. She’s not a huge ‘grammer but keeps her feed very personal. No glossy shoots, no fashion ads. We’ll see if that remains the case if SMILF takes off, but for now, the feed looks like a civilian feed, which is refreshing.

The Bell Curve
Shaw is generous with a follow, so there’s a lot that falls into her bell curve. She’s clearly very political, following multiple politicians, feminist accounts, civil rights accounts, animal rights accounts and non-profits. You’ll also find a lot of healthy-eating stuff, Boston media (she’s from and her show takes place there), basketball-related stuff (she played), along with the requisite fellow actors and a smattering of models.
Somehow, no one else we’ve overanalyzed has followed America’s Finest News Source, which saddens us, but makes us like Shaw all the more.
A fucking coven! In case you weren’t convinced of Frankie’s feminist bona fides.
In case you weren’t convinced of her commitment to civil rights.
An unfortunate amount of celebrities have yet to unfollow this assclown. We assume that’ll be remedied someday soon.
“Premier travel agency specializing in bespoke luxury travel for corporate and leisure clients, and the entertainment industry.” If we know Frankie at all, and we don't, this seems a little fancy for her. But considering it has 270 followers, maybe she’s a friend of the founder?
Exactly what it sounds like. We’d love to interview Shaw about her potential floor fetish. It’s actually pretty mesmerizing.
A hip Hillary Clinton merch operation that was actually started by an UrbanDaddy alum.
