You could probably spend the rest of your life trying to eat all the Italian food L.A. has to offer.

So... sounds like you have precious little time to waste.

You can start right here.

At Testa, a new Italian-inflected beauty with a noteworthy proficiency in making your libations, now soft-open in Downtown's South Park neighborhood. Check it out.

The chef comes from Sydney's esteemed Quay restaurant and will be expanding his menu in the weeks to come. Presently, this wood-topped, floral wallpaper-accented, patio-having siren is ready for romantic nights between you, a date and the langoustine-and-Manila clam fra diavolo. And a glass of Sicilian Nero d'Avola if minds are open to it. Which they are.

But unlike 76% of other restaurants in LA, you don't necessarily have to go with Italian food here. You could just come in for the "Dual Negronis" or Crack Berry cocktails with vodka, raspberry and La Croix devised by Devon Espinosa and Michelle Champeau. It's about time La Croix got boozy.

You also may want to consider a Japanese IPA and the giant 36-ounce pork tomahawk just for the two of you.

Whatever you decide, we're behind you.
