House

First, Dinner. Then, Dancing. Then, Outdoor Terrace.

Repeat as Necessary at House, New From the Town Kitchen & Bar People

Dancing, EDM, light-up shoes: all things happening this week, for better or worse.

House: the place you’ll go when you don’t feel like being around dancing, EDM and light-up shoes.

Fine, the dancing can stay...

Back to House, though. It’s a new restaurant/bar/lounge from the Town Kitchen & Bar people that’s now open in Coral Gables. Yes, you can dance there. And, yes, it’s pretty easy on the eyes.

This is where Sushi Samba used to be. It’s sleeker and more industrial now. The lounge vibe stems from the elevated DJ booth and the dance floor, which are for listening to DJs and dancing, respectively.

Meanwhile, outside, the canopied terrace is as good a place as any for a Refresher with tequila, agave nectar and cucumber. Relax out there for a while. Watch some busier, less perfectly situated people pass you by on the corner of Ponce de Leon and Aragon.

From there... oysters from the raw bar. Octopus with potatoes and chorizo. Short rib risotto. It’s all there for the taking, and take you shall.

You know this is serious business since we said “shall.”

On a typical Wednesday, Ginger Harris is likely seeking reposado tequila, squeezing her way to the front of a concert or jumping on the back of an Indian motorcycle. That’s just Wednesdays, though.
