It’s the <em>Chelsea Girls</em> 50th Anniversary, So This Makes Sense
The man who originally screened Warhol’s Chelsea Girls 50 years ago will be presenting it here. If you haven’t seen it: Warhol shot over six hours of vignettes inside the Chelsea Hotel, and then split-screened them by showing a dozen 16mm reels side-by-side. If you have seen it, disregard that last sentence.
Chicago’s Revolution Brewing is coming to NYC and declaring their presence with a party at this UES beer hall. There will be ample beer, hot dogs the way Chicagoans like ’em (read: a vegetable garden on top) and regrettable decisions courtesy of a guy from Three Kings doing free Chicago-themed tattoos.
