Things to do for September 08, 2016
Nude Shakespeare, Dirty Dancing and a Slip ’N Slide at Roberta’s
There’s a Lot to Ponder This WeekendBy Ilana Dadras
It’s always darkest before the weekend.
And Now: Shakespeare in the Park, sans Clothing
This female acting troupe is doing a series of nude performances of The Tempest in Prospect Park... in order to promote the importance of the three unities.
Dirty Dancing, Dancing
It’s a Dirty Dancing–themed night at this rooftop bar in Bushwick, with a screening, a trivia contest, themed drinks, a DJ set of songs that influenced the movie’s soundtrack and a bunch of people dressed like it’s the ’60s. Do join them.
New Competition for Best Breakfast Sandwich
Union Fare, fast-casual-lunch-spot-extraordinaire/dinner spot/raw bar/bakery/wine bar, felt as though they just didn’t do enough. So now they’re doing a brunch that’ll include an apple sausage breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, bacon glaze and a cinnamon roll bun. That’s just one thing.
Last Summer-Flinging at Roberta’s
For their last party of the summer, Roberta’s will be throwing a party of beer, pizza and a good old-fashioned Slip ’N Slide. We already know they’ve got at least two of those down.
