You Should Probably Happy Hour Here Quite Often

Let’s talk about happy hour.

As in, today’s.

Right now.

At Fenix, a colorful new place from the team behind AQ where you go in, eat Mexican food, drink drinks, and then leave really happy. It’s open as of today on Mission Street, and here’s what it looks like

You might remember this space as TBD, AQ’s other restaurant that, sadly, caught fire a couple years back. But instead of accepting defeat, they opened this place and named it Fenix because it rose from the ashes. You get it.

It’s just as bright and airy as you remember, but popping with color now thanks to wallpaper featuring traditional lotería cards. And the bar. It’s big. It’s probably where you’ll be for every foreseeable happy hour in the near future. Within reason. Maybe.

Grab a sangria for your date or office-whoever. Perhaps the seasonal strawberry-mint-rosé version. Pick up the menu and point at the queso fundido loaded with green chorizo, which will materialize right in front of you just for pointing at it. Neat.

And if you stick around, some chicken tinga or one of a dozen “little tastes” involving anything from chilled nopales salad to jicama with chili and lime might be in order.

Looks like you’re sticking around.
