In conclusion, there’s a whole lot for you to like at Mac Daddy, a shiny new mac-and-cheesery from the Chez Maman guys that’s opening in the Dogpatch on Monday. Take a look around.

This is where you’ll head for a nice hearty lunch. Or when you need a little snack. Or just to pick up some dinner on the way home. Or in the middle of the afternoon for no reason at all. Because it’s bright and it’s friendly and it will make you feel good. Just like mac and cheese does.

There are 12 kinds of it on this menu, in iterations like the Short Rib Mac with blue cheese and, yes, short rib. And the South of the Border Mac with chorizo, avocado and Fritos. And the Truffled Mac, with shaved black truffle, truffle oil and truffle brie. You get it.

And because this is the Chez Maman team, there are also things like Toulouse-style cassoulet with duck confit. Which, by the way, you can also add to whatever mac and cheese you want.
