We’re guessing you didn’t start your morning with a breakfast pizza.

Or maybe you did, in which case you can disregard this PSA...

Tomorrow morning, get yourself to Caffe Spuntino, an awfully charming new slice of café that’s now open in North Beach. Yes, it has breakfast pizza, and yes, this is a slideshow.

You might recognize the digs from their past life as La Boulange. But the room’s a little more sleek and sophisticated now, thanks to those soft banquettes, modern metal light fixtures and a wall-size photo of dough being kneaded.

Speaking of dough, you can trust the neighborhood dough-cred of the guys behind this place. Between them, they own nearby bakery Michelangelo, and Il Casaro, where you probably had the best Neapolitan pizza ever that one time.

Right. Pizza. You’ll want one for breakfast, topped with prosciutto, arugula and an egg. A selection of pastries from the case will do nicely, too.

But should all of this seem like “too much” for breakfast alone, you’ll be heartened to know that they’re open all day, making it that much easier for you to cover all three meals here. Pro tip: go for the panini loaded with housemade meatballs for lunch.

Really, any meal with meatballs is probably the most important of the day.
