Hello. Welcome to spring. We’re glad you could join us.

Now, let us celebrate this change in seasons with a drink. Something bright and refreshing. Something that tastes like the reappearing sun feels. Something like the Telenovela, an easy-drinking cocktail you’ll find at Harlem’s Solomon & Kuff. They’re combining two liquors—mezcal and Brazilian cachaça—with lime, passion fruit and some fragrant cilantro for a real garden effect.

If we were you, we’d mix one up without delay. And we’d do so thusly:

Telenovela

1 1/2 oz cachaça
1/2 oz mezcal
3/4 oz simple syrup
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
2 barspoons passion fruit purée
5 cilantro leaves

Add all ingredients to a shaker and shake vigorously. Double strain into a coupe, then garnish with a small pinch of ground turmeric and a cilantro leaf.
