Margaritas and tacos.

Texas and Mexico.

You and seeing where this is going...

Yep. Straight to Cadillac Bar & Grill, an enormous Tex-Mex joint tucked away in the Twitter building and waiting to greet you with after-work puffy tacos and many margaritas. It’s open now, here’s the slideshow, and here’s the menu.

They say if you love an old SoMa taco spot, let it go in the late ’90s. If it comes back, it was meant to be. If it doesn’t... well, never mind, because it did.

You’ll come when you just want a little Tex-Mex and tequila in the company of other people who just want a little Tex-Mex and tequila. Upon arrival, your primal instincts will direct you to the long wooden bar. Follow those.

Because that’s where pitchers of margaritas land in Dirty (olive juice, triple sec), Sandia (fresh watermelon, Cointreau) or 10 other forms. The types of drinks that play well with puffy Baja fish tacos and Tabasco oysters.

And when the time feels right, mouth the words “Cadillac Platter,” which will result in the arrival of enough fajitas to sate you and everyone else around you.

Assuming there’s two to four people around you.
