Shhh... it’s okay. This chicken-and-waffle sandwich is going to make it all okay.
Take comfort in the loving arms of Wynwood Diner, a well-worn respite for all-day chicken-and-waffle club sandwiches and Peach Pie Old Fashioneds, opening tonight in, you guessed it, Wynwood. (Your slideshow awaits right here.)
Long time coming, this place. And your patience has paid off. Because now you’ve got a spot with plenty of cozy nooks to kick back with some bourbon in. And it’s got that Old-Florida-living-room vibe. You know the one. The potted greenery. The black-and-white palm frond wallpaper. The fireplace with a book-and-candelabra-strewn mantel. But then there’s that wraparound diner counter right over there, so...
Food. Yeah. Definitely do that here. They’ve got pork belly omelets and chicken-and-waffle club sandwiches whipped up by a Tavern on the Green vet. The type of sustenance that solidly accompanies a late-late Saturday night. (They’ll be open until 3am starting next weekend.)
And if you decide that, hey, some more bourbon would really help round out your night, they’ve got a former Broken Shaker bartender mixing up Peach Pie Old Fashioneds and mezcal-heavy concoctions.
On second thought, water works, too.
