Today, we come to you to talk about the $10 bill.

No, it has nothing to do with poor Alexander Hamilton.

It has to do with you exchanging your 10 bucks for a glass of whiskey and four plays of Kiss.

At this place... Slash Run, the latest bar from the minds behind El Chucho and Bar Charley, opening Thursday in Petworth.

Decades ago, it was an after-hours spot, so it’s got some nods to old DC, most notably the mural rescued from Chief Ike’s Mambo Room. But take a look. It’s also part LA diner, with its original linoleum floors, tufted booths and black lacquered bar with glitter embedded in it.

Speaking of LA, your first order of business is to hit up the CD jukebox, which is long on metal (Kiss, Judas Priest), glam rock (David Bowie) and William Shatner (William Shatner).

Once that’s out of your system, it’s time to eat and drink. With one of their 15 drafts and 14 different burgers. The kind that get topped with pork rinds. Or maple-syrup mayo. Or a whole hot dog.

Which will probably put you in the mood for a whiskey. But there’s 120 of those.

Dammit.
