Sometimes you just don’t question a good thing. Like when something called the Fenway Cart appears in a parking lot to distribute gratis ballpark-inspired food from Mei Mei Street Kitchen like hot dogs with watermelon-radish relish and teriyaki beef tacos. To be clear: don’t question that.
For three blessed hours tonight, Menton will welcome walk-ins for hot dogs of the foie gras, surf and turf and classic varieties, all paired with champagne. It’s officially a pop-up, but really it’s like the Met Ball of hot dog dinners.
Wow. Really nice weather for bringing a picnic basket to the Common. Correction: really nice weather for bringing a picnic basket from Davio’s stuffed with Caesar salads, chicken parm sandwiches, Italian cheeses and a blanket to the Common. You don’t eat the blanket.
This Friday, floating pleasure-teria Spirit of Boston will alternate hourly between being at port and sailing the harbor. So you can just kind of come and go as you please. Oh, and the whole time, it will have a DJ, shuffleboard and oversize Jenga on board. No one wants undersize Jenga.
