Your Perks: 1) Button-ups in so many summer colors and styles, it’ll make your head spin. In a good way. 2) Ultra-insulated flasks, koozies, wedge-shaped ice molds... Basically a bunch of things to keep your beverages chilled. Very important. 3) A contraption that turns alcohol into gas. Seeing is believing.
Things to do for June 11, 2015
New Patio, Many Tacos, Few Picnics
Weekend, attorney at law.
Gratis Tacos from a Fenway Food Cart
Sometimes you just don’t question a good thing. Like when something called the Fenway Cart appears in a parking lot to distribute gratis ballpark-inspired food from Mei Mei Street Kitchen like hot dogs with watermelon-radish relish and teriyaki beef tacos. To be clear: don’t question that.
Hot Dogs and Champagne at Menton
For three blessed hours tonight, Menton will welcome walk-ins for hot dogs of the foie gras, surf and turf and classic varieties, all paired with champagne. It’s officially a pop-up, but really it’s like the Met Ball of hot dog dinners.
Your Next Picnic Goes Like This
Wow. Really nice weather for bringing a picnic basket to the Common. Correction: really nice weather for bringing a picnic basket from Davio’s stuffed with Caesar salads, chicken parm sandwiches, Italian cheeses and a blanket to the Common. You don’t eat the blanket.
Jenga and Shuffleboard on a Giant Boat
This Friday, floating pleasure-teria Spirit of Boston will alternate hourly between being at port and sailing the harbor. So you can just kind of come and go as you please. Oh, and the whole time, it will have a DJ, shuffleboard and oversize Jenga on board. No one wants undersize Jenga.
This Patio Didn’t Exist Before
Welcome to this week’s Townsman Minute, in which we learn about everything new at Townsman in one
minute or less.
UD: So what’s new?
Townsman: A 20-seat patio for all your alfresco charcuterie and crudo needs.
Thanks, we’ll be back next week for the Townsman Minute.
