Tonight, try swinging by Ken’s. Because VK Nagrani will be there with some limited-edition suits, coats and shirts for you. Also, you can get a shoeshine, eat some Italian food and drink whiskey. Sounds like a pretty full evening.
The DMA is staying open until midnight Friday, but don’t worry, they’re giving you plenty to work with. For example: live music, a beer garden and a pop-up Belgian brasserie that’s serving steak tartare and moules-frites. There will probably be some art stuff, too.
You know records. They’re like MP3 frisbees. And on Saturday, there’s a party in their honor. Because it’s Record Store Day and Good Records’ 15th anniversary. So stop by for bands, DJs, special-release albums and beer. It all starts at 7am. That seems ambitious.
If you happen upon the Foundry and Chicken Scratch this Sunday, well, good happening. Because they’re hosting the most Creole of parties. Think all-you-can-eat crawfish, gumbo and oysters, plus live zydeco music. There will also be beer and whiskey. Not Creole, but still important.
