A Bright, Sunny Sausage Spot on 3rd Street

You know what’s actually frightening.

The idea that you might not have a great new place for banh mi turkey sausage flatbread on Monday.

Hush now. We would never let that happen.

Thanks to Link, a bright 3rd Street grindhouse and bar that makes its own sausages and isn’t opposed to putting them in tacos and melts, soft-opening for dinner Monday. (See the slideshow here, and this is the menu.)

It looks nice inside. Kind of like a vintage longboard exploded all over a German biergarten. All blond-wood tables, a butcher-block bar and Nantucket-y white walls accented with beachy stripes.

As for the sausages. They make them here. So you’ll order something like the Hollywood, a pork link with beer mustard and house relish. But if you prefer your sausage in salad, taco, melt or flatbread form, they make those, too.

And they agree that sausages without beer would be hilarious. Don’t worry. You’ll have beers, IPA-infused cider and Old Fashioneds to get you through the time of year when you might have to go shopping at the Beverly Center across the street.

You will. You will get through this.
