Your Perks: 1) A concentrated blend of electrolytes that cures hangovers. This is important. 2) A handheld, portable espresso machine that requires zero electricity. 3) A build-your-own Bellini kit including four bottles of Collalbrigo prosecco, the same brand that was used in the original Bellini. Your brunch just got historical.
Things to do for July 03, 2014
Willie Nelson, Corn Dogs and Celebrating America
Weekend the beautiful.
There are three important things to know about the Stanley Korshak sale:
—Right now, a whole lot of dapperness is available at half the usual price.
—That includes things like Kiton suits, Rag & Bone button-downs and suede boat shoes.
—As always, pants are optional.
Think about the most American thing you can do this weekend. Go ahead, think about it. Now, if you said “Sprawl out in the grass whilst enjoying a picnic, frosty beers and music from Willie Nelson before watching some fireworks,” well, you clearly read ahead. But still, nice call.
Hot dogs, covered in batter, consumed in a competitive frenzy. It’s what holidays are all about, and it’s what’s taking place tomorrow at the Libertine’s Brass Knuckle Corn Dog Beatdown. Also: plenty of beer and a dunk tank. Wait at least 30 minutes between eating and dunking.
Lyfe Kitchen Comes to Preston Center
After a full weekend of corn dogs, potato salad and other American treasures, maybe try a salad. Or grilled fish. Or something grass-fed. You can have all those things at Lyfe Kitchen, a from-California spot that’ll start serving three meals per day in Preston Center this Saturday. Just trying to be helpful.
On Saturday, Central Track is teaming up with DJ Sober for a daytime soiree at Salt. It’s called Pop That. It will entail drinking cold cocktails and dancing in cabanas between refreshing dips in the pool. It will benefit from your presence.
