Luna Blu

Tried and Blu

A Waterfront Italian Date Spot in Tiburon

Oh, hey. We were just talking about you.

Except not really.

We were actually talking about this cozy new stronghold of Italian seafood and waterfront martinis called Luna Blu, which is now open in Tiburon.

But now that you’re here...

Might as well pull up a seat and stay awhile. Bring a date. It’s like the 21st-century restaurant version of The Love Boat in here. Seafoam-blue booths made out of sailcloth. Nautical paintings on the wall. Sailboat replicas scattered around. Oh, and it’s right on top of the water. So that adds to the effect, too.

If it’s nice out, reserve a spot on the wooden deck out back. It’ll be the place with all the heat lamps and cioppino and squid-ink fettuccine and staggering views of the city from across the bay. Can’t miss it.

And don’t forget to say hi to Renzo and his wife, Crystal. They own the joint. Renzo initially came to the states from Sicily to work for the Coppola winery, and Crystal came to the states from Oxford to be the one in charge of your English high tea service once it starts in a week or two.

Among other things, presumably.
