Do Re Mi

A Charmer of an Italian Café in MiMo

So you’re staring down what could be a truly monumental weekend.

Who knows—you could soon be settled under a fading Florentine sun, enjoying a bountiful sprawl of ricotta and prosecco.

Note: this will likely take place on Biscayne.

Meet Ni.Do. Caffé, a cozy new Italian date spot that serves up old-school charm and luscious tufts of homemade burrata, now open.

Basically, this is like stepping into the living room of a stylish Italian nonna. Inside: a hat rack awaiting your topper, gently worn paisley couches and whitewashed cedar tables overlaid with butcher paper. Also, a small market stocked with Italian essentials: truffle oil, pasta and Nutella (the Holy Grail of superfoods).

So this is ideal third-date territory. A place for deep conversation on things like the socioeconomic influence of the caipirinha. You’ll grab two stools at the granite bar and order up some creamy bufala followed by tuna tartare with avocado and blackberry coulis.

But if the skies hold out, take things to the garden patio outside. Settle into a table placed among hanging foliage and votive-lit lanterns, and share a plate of paccheri pasta, sausage and provola. Then, order a round of prosecco to cap things off before picking up some mozzarella from the market as a souvenir.

You love a good edible souvenir.
