This week we’re hooking you up with the most unforgettable massage of your life at the Four Seasons, turning you into a world-class DJ with 50% off workshops at Dubspot and hooking you up with the Redhead’s mind-blowing fried chicken to go. Oh, and we’ve curated some spectacular vino for Thanksgiving.
Things to do for November 10, 2011
French Toast, Tacos and Saint-Tropez
Rock, paper, scissors, the weekend.
Tribeca’s New Tap House
It’s come to our attention that you may not have a bar to watch the Jets vs. Pats game at. Or at least you may not have one that serves pressed bratwurst sandwiches on pretzel rolls. So here’s Tribeca Tap House, a roomy pub that meets all your strict Sunday requirements. Beer, food, TV.
Stockpiling for Holidays
Pretty soon it’ll be Christmas parties every weekend. Which means you’ll need small-talking points. Also, gifts. Here to help (and ensure you’re always insulated in fine Italian wool): Loro Piana. Their new flagship includes a 4,000-square-foot gift boutique (think cashmere plaid chess sets). Imagine Santa’s workshop, but with more calfskin.
Brunching on the Bowery
The folks at Saxon + Parole have some interesting ideas about brunch. Coincidentally, you’re an ideas person. So this Saturday, stop by that horse stable on the Bowery for bacon, banana and Nutella–stuffed french toast. Then wash it down with a Rum Root Beer Float. Hey, you never promised Mimosa monogamy.
A Volkswagen Full of Tacos
It’s always harder to hit a moving target. Tacombi realizes this. So instead of driving their tortilla-stuffed vintage VW around town, they crashed it into the Chelsea Market. Which means your marinated pork and roast pineapple tacos will always be exactly where you last left them. And that’s a good thing.
Dinner in Saint-Tropez... Kinda
In a preview of your upcoming winter vacation, MPD is throwing a Saint-Tropez Tuesday night party. Which basically just means they’ve sourced the music, cocktails and oversized raw bar from places around the French Riviera. You love a snail with an accent.
