The City’s Next Great Burger Joint

None 6 Photos Stackhouse
There’s a lot at stake tonight—Game 6 and all—so we don’t want to distract you.

But, well, we might have found the best new burger in Dallas. So we hope you won’t mind if we share...

Meet Stackhouse, an old Southern home that’s been transformed into a soon-to-be-legendary burger spot, opening next week.

If Bob Vila opened a burger joint, it would look like this: a restored house that’s been painted green and decked out with a long wooden bar and chalk drawings of Clint Eastwood and Clyde Barrow. But you’re not here for the decor—you’re here for the burger.

This thing is huge, and is prepped by a steak-flipping god from Bob’s Steak & Chop House. The bun: brioche, prepped by the same baker Bob’s uses. The meat: a combination of three parts of the cow, known as a subprimal cut—just a rank below what a top steakhouse uses. The topping options: bacon, mozzarella, avocado, a fried egg. (Go ahead, make it a double.)

We recommend coming here just before sunset (around 6:36pm next week). You’ll sneak off to the roof, facing the skyline. Settle into the wicker couch and embrace your grilled companion with both hands. As the sun sets, you’ll move in closer, as a little grease gently spills out.

Yes, you and your burger just had a moment.
