A Bar That Serves Ham and Mozzarella

As of last night, there’s new Italian in town. And yes, it’s Italian with a reality-show pedigree, so you may have heard some buzz around Graffiato.

But here’s what you need to know: Top Chef alum Mike Isabella’s first restaurant, this two-level space pays tribute to the family meals he grew up on in New Jersey.

Here’s what else you need to know, presented in full left-brain format:

2: Cocktails inspired by Robert Johnson and/or Snoop Dogg (the Traveling Riverside Blues, with blueberry-infused grappa and bubbly, and the Gin & Juice Tonic, with lime-quinine ice cubes)

6: Number of old-school, pony-size beer bottles you can order at once, to go along with a dozen micros in full-size bottles and cans

1: Local wines bottled exclusively for the restaurant (Graffiato 1.0, a nebbiolo by Breaux Vineyards in Virginia)

1: Wines on tap, namely the sparkling prosecco

2: Dishes that will be familiar to followers of Top Chef: Chicken Thighs with pepperoni sauce and Roasted Potato Gnocchi with braised pork shank and whipped burrata

Infinite: Number of ways your pizza could emerge from the wood oven, should you ask for the “Trust Your Pizzaiolo” option

1: Wooden ham bars, where chefs slice charcuterie and stretch fresh mozzarella

6: Number of friends who can fit at the ham bar alongside you, as you wend your way through Virginia speck, New York prosciutto and Tennessee country ham

10: Approximate number of minutes that will pass between New Jersey jokes at your table
