This week brings you reservations from TableXchange and bags from Morgan Grays, so you can be sure to have the nicest doggie bag in the room.
Things to do for May 01, 2008
The Weekend Starts Here
The weekend is flush with Mexican pride.
The Chelsea tapas bar has gotten its hands on five kegs of Txakoli, a little-known, crisp white wine from the Basque region of Spain. Eight bucks will get you a tumbler-full while supplies last. Solo cups available upon request.
The noted bull-enthusiasts break out the 150-inch screens for the Run of the Roses, with Belmont tickets going to whoever sports the best Derby hat, and an OTB located across Rockefeller Plaza for the off-track Southern gentleman in us all.
The first museum devoted to all sports opens in FiDi this week, and there's no reason to miss it. You know, as long as there isn't a game on.
The Met's Costume Institute kicks off spring with an Armani-sponsored look at superhero costumes, drawing parallels with avant-garde fashion and explaining why you should never wear those Spider-Man pajamas in public again.
