It’s not a party till the punch is spiked. Coincidentally, the Cocktail Collective—a cabal of world-class mixologists—is spiking punch bowls at the Royalton, and we’re getting you VIP access. We’ve also got a few exclusive winter-ready FIGS ties. Consider it additional stress relief.
Things to do for December 16, 2010
Lobster Rolls, LeBron James and Racy Story Time
The weekend will never unsee what you did at the office party.
Paella Spot Socarrat Gets a Sister
We know land snails on saffron rice is typically a Wednesday night meal, but perhaps, just this once, you’ll make an exception. That proud purveyor of crusty paella, Socarrat, has gone ahead and opened up an addition in Nolita. You’ll want to stop in before it loses that new pork rib smell.
Naked Women Read A Christmas Carol
Nothing kicks the holiday spirit into high gear like the seasonal classic A Christmas Carol. And when it’s retold the way Dickens intended, with exhibitionists in the buff and cocktails in a plush velvet lounge, all the better. Apparently, Santa came through this year.
LeBron James Comes to NY
Just to prove there are no hard feelings, the King of South Beach himself is throwing an intimate bash at 1Oak for the city he spurned. Expect an air of tension, several “Go Knicks” chants and probably half a dozen technical fouls. In other words, good clean fun.
Luke’s Lobster Opens on the UWS
It never quite reached the level of Tupac and Biggie, but the unbalance of power between Luke’s East (two) and West (zero) Side locations was beginning to cause serious tension. Thankfully, a new shack on Amsterdam is set to open, with the same meaty lobster rolls. Right before any drawn butter gets shed.
Levi’s Closes Up Workshop
It’s not your fault you waited till the last minute for your holiday card (turns out, penguins: not so easy to rent). But now you’re ready. And not a minute too soon, because Levi’s is about to shutter their free-to-use professional photography studio. You may only get one take, so make sure nobody blinks.
