Introducing Paloma, a sexy bar with a mission in life to bring really good tacos and really, really good tequila and mezcal to Hollywood Boulevard, now soft-open from Darren Crane and Adolfo Suaya and son. Check it out.

Yes, it's a Walk of Fame-bound bar you'll actually visit, with an alluring, moody glow between traditional tile trim and brick walls of the most attractive kind. There's also a full-size tree just... growing there.

You'll probably be bringing friends and dates outside to the patio for happy hour or any casual night of laying siege to the city. There will be 200 agave-based spirits at your disposal. And DJs are on the way.

But if a wild agave-based mezcal or 18-month, American oak-aged Guanajuato tequila doesn't appeal, there's always local beer or draft Palomas or cocktails like the Canary in the Coal Mine (with activated charcoal-infused tequila and dehydrated pineapple) to consider.

Sooner or later, the subject of eating will attain great import. That's when you'll summon forth prime filet mignon burritos, carne asada and chicken tinga tacos for the table.
