BAR RESCUE

There’s a New(ish) Bar in Rickhouse’s Basement

Ginger’s Trois has been resurrected in what used to be the basement of Rickhouse. The vibe is pretty much the same, but now it’s run by the Bourbon & Branch, Tradition and Rickhouse people. So go and toast them with a Lexington Manhattan with bourbon, dubonnet and walnut liqueur. Them. Yourself. Same thing.

Dinosaurs and Gin. That Old Pairing.

Dinosaurs and Gin. That Old Pairing.

You have a date, but you want to do something... different. Great. Take them to Cal Academy for Prehistoric Nightlife, complete with a preview of their new pterosaur exhibit, planetarium shows and multiple bars throughout. Probably should’ve led with the multiple bars.

All the Pop-Up Whiskey That’s Fit to Drink
DOUBLE TAKE

All the Pop-Up Whiskey That’s Fit to Drink

Over Proof, that reservation-only bar above ABV, has now entered its second phase as the Japanese-whiskey-lounge-themed Double Back. A prix fixe dinner and drink pairing there might look something like Kojo marinated steak with a Japanese whiskey and carbonated genmaicha tea cocktail. There, now you’re a better person for knowing that.

The Village’s New Brunch Party Is Bringing You Champagne and DJs

The Village is launching a “Bubbles & Brunch” party on Saturday. Put on something nice. Bring someone nice. Brunch will be upstairs and include stuff like fried French toast sticks. Dancing will happen back downstairs near the bar. The “bubbles” part is probably pretty self-explanatory.
