Because that’s when and where you’ll find Hickory. The latest concept from Kent Rathbun is doing compelling things with smoked meats and burgers, and it opens for dinner on Monday.
The menu’s broken into smoked meats (Wagyu brisket, St. Louis–style ribs), burgers and sandwiches (Mediterranean-lamb burger, maple-cured-beef-bacon BLT) and sides like charred-jalapeño creamed corn. And to drink: a barrel-aged Old Fashioned, for starters.
So bring some friends. And next month, when they start serving lunch, bring some coworkers. Or... don’t. Because a cold drink and spicy-pork-shoulder tacos are the only things anyone really needs in this world.
And yes, we know. It’s, like, a million degrees outside. But their patio is a very nice patio, complete with wooden tables, lounge chairs and a fireplace.
