Your Perks: 1) Waxed-canvas bags that can handle whatever you throw at them this winter. 2) A truly special bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue. It’s whiskey to be celebrated. Or sipped judiciously. 3) A fitted button-down from Jared Lang. You’ve never looked better.
Things to do for January 22, 2015
New Pizza Spot, New Burger Joint and Gatorade Cocktails
The weekend will hear no more of this Deflate-Gate nonsense.
Cambridge Falls to Boston Burger Co.
Boston Burger Company just opened a Cambridge spot. Yes, burgers topped with fried mac and cheese bites will be there. But this is also the first location to have a full liquor license. So spiked frappes and gin blossoms will be there, too. That happens with liquor licenses.
Let There Be $1 Oysters at Precinct
We’d like you to meet some friends. Their names are Pei Malpeques, Powder Point, Katama Bay and Blue Point. They’re oysters. And they’ll be yours for one dollar every day at Precinct between the hours of 4 and 6pm. We’re sure you’ll get along famously.
This Place Is New. It’s a Pizza Place.
Say hello to your new pizzeria: Rosso B. It’s the kind of place you can just stop by for a quick béchamel-ham arancini or a slice of egg-topped spinach pizza to go. Or sit down for truffle-oil risotto and fettuccine carbonara. No, we wouldn’t describe it as Paleo-friendly.
This Is Where We Talk About Sales
The Latest from 111 Charles Street: The pop-up’s allowing you 30% off Boast polos and
sweatshirts, and knocking 15% off other things like needlepoint belts and cashmere sweaters.
And from Drinkwater’s: The haberdashery’s taking 30% to 50% off its trove of fall and winter sweaters, sports jackets and Italian socks. You have your orders.
Sticky Buns and Breakfast Pizza: Here
Pizza for breakfast. Good or bad? Congratulations, you passed the test. Your reward: a newly minted brunch at Vialé, featuring all the Sicilian breakfast pizza, duck-egg carbonara and salted caramel sticky buns you desire. And Gatorade egg flips. We don’t really know how to follow that, so take care.
