Things to do for January 08, 2015
Much Naan. Much Coffee. Many Suits.
Don’t go down without a weekend.
Go Ahead, Newbury St. Have a New Café.
If “giving up coffee” was one of your resolutions: move along. Because there’s a new Barrington Coffee on the loose now, this time on Newbury Street. You’ll find espresso, pastries and coffee made from an advanced brewing machine called “The Steampunk.” It’s a different kind of steampunk.
New Pizza Is Afoot in Davis Square
Close your eyes and imagine the perfect Italian deli. There’d be an infinite supply of salami and housemade red sauce. There’d be a couple little tables to decamp to with braised-beef arancini and sheep’s cheese pizza. There’d be constant banter in Italian. Now open your eyes. You’re at Pepe Bocca.
This Is Where You Exercise Now
If this were last month, we probably would’ve opened with an eggnog joke. But we’re just going to cut to the chase and tell you that a swanky new fitness club called Republic Fitness has opened in the Financial District. Is what we’re going to do instead of open with an eggnog joke.
There Are Sandwiches Here. Go to Them.
Don’t: Think about how cold it is.
Do: Think about how there’s a new counter-service Indian spot in Back Bay willing to fix you tomato-and-mozzarella naan sandwiches and family-style tandoori chicken.
Do: Wear gloves.
