Brookland Gets a Top-Notch Beer Bar

Timing is everything.

Especially if you’re opening a beer bar at the beginning of DC Beer Week.

Here then: Brookland Pint, another beer-centric spot by the owners of Meridian Pint and Smoke & Barrel, opening Monday. (See the slideshow.)

Pretty straightforward here: this is where you go to drink beer. With other people who like to drink beer. When you walk in, there’s a bar made from recycled Maryland tobacco barns and marble from the same Vermont quarry where they got stone for the memorials on the Mall. So that’s interesting.

Go ahead, drink your beer right there. You’ll find 24 of them, mostly local, like Evil Twin’s Biscotti Break, with espresso, vanilla and almonds. Or a collaboration brew called No Sleep til Brookland. Get it? Sure you do.

Or, if you’re into gentle breezes, feel free to grab a stool on the 48-seat patio. Great place to summon one of the rare bottled beers from the climate-controlled cooler. And probably a DIY burger from the huge menu of toppings, from buffalo wing sauce to pickled veggies to vegan cheese.

Yes, they also have cheddar.
