Dear Monday,

Your reputation precedes you.

So let’s do everyone a favor and keep things simple today.

Beer.

Sausages.

Strudel.

Stat.

Hoist a pint for Prost Wurstgrill & Bierhouse, a low-key joint serving up homemade sausages, beer and other Germanic deliciousness, now open in Brickell.

The vibe: real laid-back. And with all of the traditional beerhouse trappings—long wooden communal tables and a handsome brick-lined bar. But also, chalkboard art and multicolored deer heads mounted on the wall. Kind of like a German beer hall gone rogue.

Which makes sense when you take a look at the menu. Sure, there are sausages. All made in-house. But they use stuff like Wagyu brisket that’s been infused with red wine and a duck chorizo served with violet mustard. Also: 12-inch Bavarian-style pretzels and apple strudel sprung from the mind of a former Swine chef.

It’s pretty much your standard beer-accompanying fare. Which means you should probably ask for some beer. They’ve got five on tap, including some local ones from Funky Buddha and Wynwood Brewing, but also German brews.

... from Germany.
