A Downtown Market Called Ocean Market

If you found a book that said “Ocean Market” on the cover, you’d probably judge it.

By thinking it was a book about seafood.

If you found a deli that said Ocean Market on the sign, you’d probably judge it.

By thinking it had something to do with seafood.

Well... stop judging things.

Because the latter is a lunch-only, European-style deli with crepes, sandwiches and other non-seafood delights (okay, there’s salmon), open as of today in Downtown.

Ocean is the owner’s son’s middle name. Great. Now here’s when and how you’ll employ this place:

It’s 10:10am.
The office needs a morale boost. You heard they can handle big takeout orders. You call in a bunch of crepes filled with anything from beef tenderloin to Nutella. Your office’s morale gets boosted.

It’s 12:15pm.
Otherwise known as “lunchtime.” It’s one big open room with a few butcher-block counters and a communal table. Which seems to be big enough for you to eat house-smoked turkey panini and drink ginger beers.

It’s 2:45pm.
And they close at 3. But hey, maybe you’ll want to eat food later. They sell premade sides like Jamaican slaw and blue cheese chicken salad by weight.

So if you order a ton, you’ll get 2,000 pounds.
