And, well... that’s one way to do it.
A better way: Peekintoo, a new app that lets you anonymously drop a pin anywhere on the world map and request to see a 12-second video of whatever’s happening there at the time (so... international voyeurism), available now for iPhone.
If you could give Vine a major overhaul, you’d...
1) Double the video time.
2) Redesign it from a secret agent’s perspective.
3) Probably get a lot of tech job offers.
Don’t bother, though. Someone already beat you to it.
There’s no telling what you’ll see, really. A bustling café in Paris. Rooftop dinners in Athens. Overcrowded Macy’s situations in NYC. And if you’re looking for something specific, just send a comment with your request. If someone lying on a Costa Rican beach gets your request, they’ll record the scene for you.
And the same thing works in reverse. If someone wants to see what’s happening in Atlanta, feel free to help them out by recording your own video.
Hopefully they like 12-second videos about traffic.
