Things to do for June 20, 2013
A New Tiki Shack, Breakfast Pizza and an Oyster Happy Hour
The weekend’s tan is evening out nicely.
Tonight: You Get Luau’d
Hey, Belly Wine Bar has a new pop-up daiquiri tiki shack on their back patio. And it kicks off tonight with an all-you-care-to-consume spit-roasted-pig-and-ceviche soiree. They’ll even pick up the tab on your first daiquiri. Aw, they totally should have.
Pool Season Thanks You in Advance
Biking outdoors: been there, done that. Biking in Southie’s new acoustically advanced spin studio: about to go there and do that. It’s basically a club (DJs, club lighting) that’s way better at getting you ready for pool season than other clubs. It’s this or bringing a stationary bike to Royale.
Your Breakfast = Beer and Egg Pizza
On Sunday morning, you’ll wake up. You’ll yawn. You’ll stretch. And then you’ll head to Ducali to drink beer flights and eat pancetta-potato-and-egg breakfast pizza. It’s this new “Kegs and Eggs” thing they’re doing. You love it when they do that.
Sliders and Cover Me Badd in Fenway
So get this. Lansdowne Pub is throwing a little thing for One Fund on Sunday. A thing with gratis steak-and-cheese sliders. A thing with eight local cover bands, one of which is called Cover Me Badd. Fingers crossed for at least one Color Me Badd song.
Oysters. Bubbly. Beer. Yay.
Your post-work Monday possibilities just got a lot more shenanigan-y. Chalk it up to Abby Lane’s “Guys and Dolls” special. You’ll get three local oysters and either three ponies of beer (that’s the “guys” part) or a bottle of pink champagne (that’s the “dolls” part) for $20. Do it for Sinatra.
