Asha Gomez’s Sexy New Event Space

None 4 Photos The Third Space
If you go to a bar on Cinco de Mayo, it’ll be... great.

It’ll be great.

But it won’t involve you commandeering a private kitchen, setting up make-your-own-fajita stations and importing your own tequila collection.

It just won’t. Unless...

You’re at The Third Space, a new event space and cooking-class thunderdome brought to you by Asha Gomez of Cardamom Hill fame, available for your private Cinco bash on Sunday and taking reservations now for chef Joe Truex’s first cooking class next Wednesday.

In short, this is a bright, lofty space where you’ll swing by for the occasional cooking class with some of the city’s best chefs. In long, this is a glorious playground with sharp knives, long wooden tables and random knickknacks like antlers and typewriters everywhere. And you can take it over anytime you’d like.

Just give Asha’s team a call and explain what you’re looking for. Then decide if you want to do the cooking. If you do, they can stock the refrigerator with everything you need. If you don’t, they can stock the kitchen with a chef. Like Asha herself. Or Steven Satterfield from Miller Union. Or the pastry chef from Bacchanalia.

And about those classes. In the first one, Joe Truex is making gumbo. In another one, a farmer will explain how to slaughter and break down an entire hog.

Then he won’t explain how to eat it.
