It’s gorgeous out. Then it’s not. It’s warm. It’s cold. It’s sleet. It’s rain. It’s... inconsistent, basically.
All of which has made accurately planning your daily 10am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 2:15pm, 2:28pm and 7pm outfits quite a hassle.
What you need is something like the on-the-minute weather service from Back to the Future Part II. In your pocket.
Presenting Ourcast, the iPhone app for getting hyperlocal, minute-by-minute weather reports, available now.
Think of this as having a direct line to Freyr, god of weather. Only instead of relying on Norse mythology, this employs a seemingly magic mixture of user-generated reports, accurate statistical weather prediction and high-level algorithm-ing from a Stanford-educated rocket scientist (yes, in this case, it is rocket science).
So take today. It’s pouring. But it may be less so later. So before sheathing yourself in suitable threads, pull this up. It’ll give you real-time breakdowns of what’s going on outside and how far away new weather is (which helps when planning the occasional date in the suburbs).
It also filters and displays the aforementioned user-generated reports with social-media-ish check-ins. Which means if you want, you can provide your own meteorological dispatches to help other people.
