This week, we’ve curated a selection of rare, celebrated and all-round top-notch bottles of vino for your next evening of distinguished consumption. Plus, we’re bringing you 25% off framed, gallery-quality photos starring the likes of Bardot, Monroe, Springsteen and more. We hear they pair well with wine.
Things to do for August 25, 2011
$1 Tacos, Ribs for Lunch and Dueling Pianos
The weekend has a newfound respect for the West Coast.
A Shack Devoted to Lunch. And Ribs.
Surviving an earthquake can really put things in perspective. Perspective: forgoing the normal salad at lunchtime and living it up with a full rack of ribs, mac and cheese, and pulled-pork sandwiches. Enter Redbones’s new rib shack in Kendall Square. And a nap afterward.
After-Work Taco-ing for $1
As if you needed another reason to get excited for getting out of work each evening, we found one anyway: Lolita is offering $1 tacos (achiote BBQ, pulled pork, slow-cooked brisket) and $2 seven-ounce Mexican beers for two hours, five days a week. Be sure to breathe between tacos.
Partying with Two Pianos. No Cover.
Hanging at a piano bar on a Sunday night: sure, why not. Hanging at a piano bar on a Sunday night when it’s offering no cover and two hours of gratis buffet-style bites due to its first birthday: absolutely. Just watch out for musical theater majors.
Roasted Beef Slider-ing After 1am
The good news: Citizen has extended their drinking hours to 2am, and in honor of this, they’re throwing a little party on Sunday. Think: Sailor Jerry rum, local tallboys and gratis roasted beef sliders and gnocchi mac and cheese from their new “night owl” menu. Bad news: Monday.
One Last Mojito Monday Before Fall
Speaking of Mondays, this Monday is your last chance to experience RumBa’s Mojito Monday overlooking Fort Point Channel. You’ll learn to make a couple of their signature mojitos (and try them), graze off the free apps and even take home a muddler. Your home bar is now complete.
